I've been fortunate enough to travel to Portland three years in a row for two weeks at a time. So, I've compiled a list of my favorite spots and places you must see.
EATS
1. Figlia Americana - their sandwiches and bread were to die for. Also, in the back was an antique store and another store called Rejuvenation that had some amazing home goods. The perfect place to grab lunch and do some shopping.
2. Lardo - OMG! One of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. Their Bronx Bomber was also incredible. Their outdoor seating was perfect to people watch, which if you have not been to Portland before, that's prob the best part.
3. Xurros - who doesn't love a good churro? They also make churro ice cream sandwiches :)
Not pictured but must try - 10 Barrel Brewing, The Screen Door, Petite Provence, 23Hoyt, Multnomah Whiskey Library (a little bit of a wait to non-members but worth it ) and Jam on Hawthorne just to name a few.
COFFEE & TEA
1. Tea Bar - they have multiple locations, I went to the one in the Pearl District. They specialize in matcha and boba and a variety of other teas. I got the Dirty Detox a summer special and I cannot stop thinking about it. It was made with charcoal, organic lavender petals, cold pressed lemon juice and raw local honey. I couldn't resist also getting the rose croissant and I'm so glad I did.
2. Prince Coffee - found this little gem because I was looking for my daily cappuccino fix but the area near Kenton had some other great shops and restaurants so I would def check out this area.
3. Stumptown Coffee - while you are here you have to visit the original spot that specializes in Cold Brew. It is also located as part of the ACE Hotel that you must stop by and get a photo in their photo booth located in the lobby and the other end has Clyde Common another favorite restaurant of mine.
Other coffee shops not pictured : Good Coffee
SHOPPING
1. Mantel - this shop is one of the most beautifully curated shops I've ever been to. It features local artists and will give you a one of a kind piece for your home or the perfect gift.
North of West - from baby clothes to dresses and hand printed tea towels this place is it. I loved all the beautiful colors and patterns.
More shops not photographed: Wild Fang, WM Goods, Woonwinkel and Adler & Co.
VISIT
Last year the Pittcock Mansion was on my list, but I did not get around to going. So this time I made sure I did and I am so thrilled I did. I love history and this place gives you an up close and personal look at Henry Pittcock's mansion while giving you an amazing view overlooking Portland.
2. Nucleus Portland - this art gallery also has an amazing beer selection. You can purchase prints, artwork, and walk the installation all while enjoying some local beer.
And lastly, the Society Hotel featured an intimate rooftop bar open to the public as long as you buy a beverage downstairs in the lobby. It was perfect out and the views were stunning so I absolutely recommend this place.
